In line with priorities in the field of strengthening the competence status of general practitioners and primary paediatricians, since 6.9.2024, the Ministry of Health has abolished the prescription restrictions on medicinal products intended for patients with lung disease. The department management decided to lift restrictions on the basis of consensus of MUDr. Etela Janeková PhD., the main specialist of MZ SR for general medicine, MUDr. Elena Prokopová, the main specialist of MZ SR for general care of children and adolescents and the main experts of the department and professional companies for pneumology and immunoallergology.
The general physician and pediatrician can therefore prescribe medicines with active substances that are used in various diseases where the bronchitis is narrowed, as well as breathing difficulties that arise as a result of bronchitis narrowing, seasonal allergic rhinitis (e.g. hay fever, whole year cold).
