Health strategy

From 2022

Government of Slovakia on 28 June 2022 cleared Update of the Strategic Framework for Health Care for 2014 - 2030 (hereinafter "Updates").

The update is primarily based on the Strategic Framework endorsed by the Government in 2013, updates the indicators and measures on those approved by the Government in other strategic documents (Rehabilitation and Resilience Plan, Slovakia Operational Programme 2021-2027 and Slovakia Vision and Strategy for Development by 2030) and introduces a system of regular monitoring of established measures and targets in the form of annual monitoring reports.

By approving the Updates and regularly drawing up the annual monitoring reports defined therein, the Health Department will be able to provide an effective tool to make its long-term strategic direction more qualified. This type of information will be a particularly useful starting point in the formulation of priorities for the following year, in the budgetary negotiations with MF SR, and in the implementation of the milestones defined in the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
