The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter referred to as "MZ SR') checks the control of the state language with a foreigner pursuant to § 45 (1) (a). if) Act No 576/2004 Coll. on health care, services related to the provision of health care and amending certain laws as amended.
Control of the state language to the extent necessary for the exercise of the health profession in a foreigner is a condition for the exercise of the health profession in the territory of the Slovak Republic within the meaning of § 31 (4) of Act No. 578/2004 Coll. on Health Care Providers, Health Care Professionals, Health Professional Organisations and on the amendment of certain laws as amended (hereinafter "Law No. 578/2004') OJ L 347, 20.12.2013, p. 671.
Under Paragraph 34b (1) of Law No 578/2004 Z. z. z. control of the state language the foreigner proves by proof on:
- (a) successful completion of a graduation or state language examination from a national language or from a Czech language
- (b) successful completion of the additional examination pursuant to the special regulation § 18a of Act No 422/2015 Coll. on the recognition of evidence of education and the recognition of professional qualifications and on the amendment of certain laws (hereinafter "Law No 422/2015"). W. W.
- (c) professional competence pursuant to § 33 (2) in the relevant study programme carried out in the national language
- (d) status of Slovak living abroad according to § 2 (a). a) Second point and § 7 of Act No. 474/2005 Coll. on Slovaks living abroad and amending certain laws as amended
- (e) State language control issued by the Ministry of Health after a positive assessment by a foreigner proposed proof of national language control; or
- (f) State language control issued by the Ministry of Health after verification of state language control
In the event of an application for verification of national language control to the extent necessary for the exercise of the medical profession, please proceed as follows:

- Add one of the following annexes:
- (a) a copy of the decision to recognise the evidence of education pursuant to Article 35 (1) of Law No 578/2004 Z. z. (§ 18 (1) of Law No 422/2015) Z. z. or
- (b) a copy of the proof of professional competence for the exercise of the medical profession pursuant to Article 33 (2) of Law No 578/2004 Z. z. z.
- Send the application with an attachment to the address of MZ SR or bring it to the mailing room of MZ SR.
Verification national language management to the extent necessary to pursue the health profession consists of:
- (a) written part (test involving dictatorship),
- (b) oral part (voice reading of professional text, free reproduction of read text, discussion).
