For the pursuit of professional activities Pharmaceutical is required to obtain higher education degree II in Master's degree programme, in the field of study pharmacy, which lasts in the daily form of a study of five years, of which at least four years of theoretical and practical instruction at a university and at least six months of practice at a public pharmacy or hospital pharmacy.

Professional qualifications for the professional activities of the pharmacist are also fulfilled by a person who has acquired a degree II degree in the Master's degree programme in the field of study pharmacy started until 1999.
