What is the purpose of the challenge:
Support for projects aimed at improving the quality of life in terms of access to healthcare for seniors, citizens in need and immobile citizens of municipalities, which have created centres of shared services for citizens.
Main objective
Ensuring the protection of patients' rights through more accessible healthcare and medical devices.
What projects will bring
The purchase of a car and defibrillator will significantly improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of small municipalities, especially where healthcare is less accessible or remote. This appropriation will serve communities and residents with the following benefits:
Improving access to healthcare
In smaller municipalities, ambulances, emergency facilities, or hospitals are often several miles away. Car can help ensure faster transport of seniors, disabled persons or people without their own transport for examination, control or treatment.
Faster help in critical situations
A defibrillator can be decisive for sudden cardiac arrest. If it is available directly in the village and locals know how to use it, it can significantly reduce the time to first aid, which can increase the chances of survival.
Stronger Community Cooperation
When citizens actively help each other, trust, solidarity, and security are strengthened. People are more confident that they will not remain on their own in an emergency.
Support for seniors and vulnerable groups
Older people, people with disabilities or families with no means of transport can make it easier to use health services, which can lead to more regular prevention and earlier treatment of health problems.
Increased preparedness of the community for emergencies
Car together with first aid equipment can increase the village's ability to react in accidents, sudden health complications or other emergencies before the arrival of the professional rescue forces.
Improving quality of life and a sense of security
Knowing that help is closer and more accessible can improve people's sense of security and increase the attractiveness of the community for families and older people.
Measuring project success
The success of such a project can be measured by specific indicators in order to demonstrate real benefits for the population and the community.
Accessibility of healthcare
- number of transfers of citizens to doctors or examinations carried out,
- the number of inhabitants using the transport service;
- reducing the time needed to ensure transport to healthcare;
- the number of elderly or disadvantaged citizens receiving the aid.
First aid provision and use of defibrillator
- number of interventions using the defibrillator,
- average time from occurrence reporting to aid delivery,
- Number of volunteers or first-aid residents trained;
- availability of defibrillator (e.g. 24/7 readiness).
Community involvement
- Number of volunteers involved in the project
- Number of volunteer hours
- population using or supporting the service,
- population satisfaction surveyed through questionnaires.
Impact on quality of life
- Increased sense of security of the population (measured by polls)
- reducing the number of situations where citizens have not used healthcare for transport;
- positive feedback from seniors, citizens in need, disabled and their families.
