RECOMMENDATION FOR ACCOMMODATION DEVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE PREVENTION OF COVID-19 DISSEMINATION

The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic and the Office of Public Health of the Slovak Republic report recommendations regarding the prevention of the possible spread of COVID-19 infection for accommodation facilities that decided to help war refugees from Ukraine. First of all, the Resort sincerely thanks all subjects and citizens of the Slovak Republic for the help they have been giving to people fleeing war for several days. Accommodation facilities of MZ SR and ÚVZ SR are recommended - if possible - to set aside several accommodation units for people with COVID-19 disease ideal so as not to contact people without disease. The isolation of the tested person is sensitive to close contacts, in particular family members, mothers with children, etc. Isolation should maintain family unity to the maximum extent possible, be non-discriminatory, protect the dignity and confidentiality of persons. The interests of the child should be paramount. In case of isolation or quarantine, we also recommend maintaining contacts via phones or video calls. The Department of Health wants to ask the accommodation facilities to tactfully and emotionally teach war refugees from Ukraine about compliance with the measures issued by the SRC in connection with the fight against pandemics, namely compliance with the principles of personal hygiene and respiratory etiquette, the need to cover the upper respiratory tract or to monitor their health status, as well as the conditions and necessity of compliance with isolation or quarantine. During the provision of these services, accommodation facilities should increase the hygienic-epidemiological regime by regularly disinfecting or increasing the frequency of regular ventilation. If necessary, it is appropriate to contact the VÚC and the municipality for health and psychosocial assistance.
