Slovakia is preparing for a possible increase of war refugees from Ukraine. If border crossings do not cope with the Ukrainians fleeing the war, HOT-SPOTs at border crossing points will be put into operation.
The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic established an email address for volunteers on Friday Volunteers.Ukraine@health.gov.sk, who will be involved in the work of health teams in activated HOT-SPOTs if necessary. To date, more than 70 people have joined the volunteer list.
The Ministry of Health is in close contact with the interior department, which coordinates activities on our eastern border. If necessary, such health teams may be involved in the work of HOT-SPOTs, but also in emergency facilities for war refugees.

In the event of the need to use the services of volunteers in health teams, the health department will contact interested parties and, in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior, ensure their coordinated involvement in humanitarian activities and assistance to war refugees from Ukraine.
