To date, the Government of the Slovak Republic has removed Renat Bláhová from her position as Chairman of the Health Care Supervisory Authority. The new President will be from 7.2. 2024 Michal Palkovič.
The Government's motion to negotiate was tabled by the Minister ofPremierdom SR Zuzana Dolinková in accordance with the law on health insurance companies. "The grounds for appeal were not satisfied by the statutory qualification requirements for the performance of the function, and the fact that it was a political nomination without a selection process. The obvious technical error was also a threat to the economy of the State MCE and moral and ethical errors occurred even if the authority under Rená Bláh's direction was overwhelmed by the law, including the failure to manage impartial communication with health insurance and healthcare providers.," said Minister Z. Dolinková after the Government of the Slovak Republic. "I wish Mr Palkovič a lot of work to run the office. It is a highly qualified expert with many years of experience and results since the establishment of this institution. " the minister added.
