For MZ SR:
- Director-General of the Pharmacy and Drug Policy Section - MUDr. Adam Dormouse
- Director of the Department of Price and Drug Policy Classification - PharmDr. Rastislav Pullmann
- Official of the Communication Department - Mgr. Martina Lidinská
- Official of the Department of Price and Drug Policy Classification - Mgr. MVDr. Branislav Jaďud
- Official of the Price and Drug Policy Classification Department - Mgr. Jana Kernatsová, PhD.
For FPPS:
- Chairman - Ing. Marica Laščeková
The meeting at issue was at the initiative of the FPPS representative in the case education of patients, through lectures organised by the Forum of Patients and policyholders of Slovakia.
The sitting was opened by the Director General of the Department of Pharmacy and Drug Policy, Dr. Adam Hlôška, who welcomed Ms Lašček and called on her to present their proposal as a representative of the FPPS.
Ing. Marica Lashčeková
- She thanked me for accepting.
- She introduced a new civic association of Slovak patients and insured persons and their intention to educate patients in health and social care issues in order to improve the quality of life of the patient and positively influence their current lifestyle.
- It presented the concept of the planned project, the way in which it was implemented and the way in which it was financed.
- It addressed the MZSR with a request to participate in the FPPS educational programme through the project "Ask yourself a doctor', which is carried out by the Ministry in cooperation with the Association for the Protection of Patient Rights (AOPP).
Dr Adam Hlôška
- The MZSR communicates with all patient civil society associations who show interest in addressing issues affecting them.
- It guarantees patients access to information so that they comply with the legislation of the Slovak Republic and the European Union, information guaranteed by institutions such as ŠUKL, EMEA...
- The partners with whom the Ministry will enter into cooperation are independent from the pharmaceutical industry in terms of funding.
- If the FPPS demonstrates its financial independence from the pharmaceutical industry, the Ministry shall, as far as possible, participate in the educational programmes organised by that association.
- It would be ideal if all citizens' associations of patients were able to cover themselves with a single platform that would allow their representatives to have a globalised view of the issue of healthcare provision and would allow more effective solutions to benefit all patients, regardless of the type and extent of their disease.
Conclusion:
- Ensure independent patient education guaranteed by independent experts and professional institutions.
- Find optimal cooperation solutions for all stakeholders.
