The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic extends the announcement of a repeated call called Complementing the Network of Psychiatric Stationaries under Component 12 Human, Modern and Available Mental Health Care. Applications for funding of the mechanism may be submitted by eligible applicants by 9 November 2024.
The health care area associated with the protection and promotion of mental health has long been neglected and underestimated. In the medium-term priorities of the Programme Statement of Government, we have committed ourselves to proposing solutions to increase the availability of services in this area, an integrated and pervasive approach or the prevention of mental disorders. I welcome the fact that mental health care infrastructure and capacity can also be strengthened thanks to the European investments from the Recovery and Resilience Plan," said the Minister for Health Kamil Šaško.
The aim of the call is to build a network of staff focused on psycho-social rehabilitation of children and adults, on treatment, prevention of hospitalisation, shortening it with an emphasis on maintaining quality of life or a complete return to society and reducing unemployment and disability. The eligible activities are investments in the construction of a new psychiatric stationer, the reconstruction of premises for the needs of a psychiatric stationer and the investments in the equipment of a psychiatric stationer. The maximum amount of the contribution is EUR 434 939,70, VAT excluded.

The eligible applicant in a given call is a natural person-entrepreneur or a legal person who is a healthcare provider pursuant to § 4 (a). (a), (b) and (c) of Act No. 578/2004 Coll. with permission issued pursuant to § 11 of Act No. 578/2004 Coll. on the operation of the outpatient health care facility, or upon application declares the intention to become a health care provider and start operating the outpatient health care facility - stationer with a professional focus: psychiatry, child psychiatry, clinical psychology, medical pedagogy.

For the purposes of this call, the funds of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism are provided to newly created psychiatric staff. One provider may also submit multiple applications for each installation separately.
