The Ministry of Health launched the investment call for reconstruction and modernisation of hospitals from the Plan of Recovery and Resilience of the Slovak Republic. Another 212 million euros will travel to modernization, increase the quality and efficiency of healthcare in Slovakia. One of the biggest investments of its kind will increase patient comfort and modernise the working environment for doctors, nurses and all medical personnel. Last week in Martin we tapped the base stone of a new top hospital in Slovakia. At the same time, we have symbolically opened a new investment chapter in Slovak health. Today we continue to launch one of the biggest financial injections to modernise the network of Slovak hospitals - in other words, to comfort for patients and quality working conditions for doctors and healthcare professionals, said Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarsky . Facilities that will be included in the first and second categories under the proposed classification will be eligible for the call announced today. In practice, this means that all hospitals that provide standard emergency and planned care, urgent outpatient care or subsequent rehabilitation care can submit applications. The minimum support per applicant amounts to EUR 5 million. Maximum possible support amounts to up to 330 000 € per bed. The challenge will be open for two months. When setting up the call we had three main priorities, namely the fair setting of rules for applicants, the effective use of the funds and the third result oriented towards patients, doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals, Vladimir Lengvarsky continues. The rules of the call include the regional principle according to the counties so that investments from the recovery plan really help health care throughout Slovakia. At the same time, the effectiveness of spending is taken into account to increase the comfort of the maximum possible number of patients. The type of investment will be evaluated very carefully. In practice, this means that we want to support projects that have the highest added value for the patient. I do not support cosmetic change, but real long-term beneficial solutions, mentioned the Minister of Health. In addition to the currently announced call, the Ministry of Health launched projects for the construction of new university hospitals in Martin and Bratislava. It was only recently supported by hospitals in Dolný Kubín, Čadca or Ružomberok from the catching-up programming period. Continue

Work is intensively on the next call from the Recovery and Resilience Plan for Hospital Facilities, namely for projects up to €5 million.logo POO MZ SR.jpg
