The Ministry of Health has addressed potential applicants who need more time to prepare their projects. It has therefore extended the deadline for requesting support under the call: "Expansion and renewal of the stone hospice network"" Applications can therefore be sent by 15 March 2023. At the same time, it has refined the condition to achieve 30% energy savings.
The health department considers the recovery and resilience plan to be a key tool in improving health care in Slovakia. This is why it consults the professional public on an ongoing basis on the calls already launched. Special attention is paid to the field of palliative care in which Slovakia has a lot to catch up on. By expanding the capacity of community palliative care, it will reduce regional differences in the choice of place of living in terminally ill patients.
Based on the results of the ongoing discussions with the professional public, the resort decided to specify the conditions regarding energy savings. The obligation to provide the necessary documentation was revised. In case the applicant does not have documentation, it is sufficient to provide a description and budget of the project.
At the same time, 30% of energy savings will not be achieved after the new condition, for example, when it comes to renovation, with the aim of putting in operational condition under the legislative conditions for hospice. Similarly, the condition of energy savings is not required if the supported building arrangements are not defined in the Energy Performance of the Building Act.
Through a new call to build new and renovate existing stone hospices, the Ministry plans to invest EUR 6.8 million in the construction of new stone hospices. To restore the already existing hospices an additional 5.7 million Euro. Overall, 12.6 million euros will travel to improve and expand the network of facilities for the most vulnerable groups.
State, self-government, budget or contribution organisations, non-profit associations, legal entities, churches or religious societies, legal entities Þ companies, civic associations or association of municipalities may be involved in the call. All information on the call is available on the website of the Ministry of Health.
