On 30 September 2024 the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic announced a call for applications for non-refundable financial contribution to complement the network of integrated health care centres. An amount of EUR 3.3 million is allocated to the call from EU sources. The call is intended for projects of the Bratislava region and will be open until the amount allocated is exhausted.
The concept of integrated health care centres is defined so that the patient has everything under one roof and does not have to commute to another location, address or tens of kilometres to another city for examination or provision of the service. The call may require a non-refundable financial contribution for the construction of new buildings, the modernisation and reconstruction of existing buildings, the extension, the extension or the construction of the internal and external premises of existing buildings, as well as the provision of equipment, the supply of medical equipment or equipment.
The funds may be requested from municipalities and non-profit organisations whose founder is the municipality. It is specific to this call that, before submitting a request for funding, the applicant submits a project plan to the Partnership Council of the Bratislava Self-Governing Region. After the consent has been given, the applicant may submit his application to the Ministry. The Ministry of Health may only assess and approve a request which has given its favourable opinion.
The call follows the already announced call by the Ministry of Health to complement the network of integrated healthcare centres within the less developed region announced in April 2024, to which EUR 16.5 million is allocated from EU resources. VBy announcing the call for a less developed region and the currently announced call for the Bratislava region, the Ministry of Health allocated the entire budget for integrated territorial investments to which it committed itself in the implementation of the programme period 2021 - 2027 through the Programme Slovakia. In doing so, the Ministry of Health has fulfilled its commitments to the new model of integrated territorial strategies for better promoting regional needs in the implementation of EU cohesion policy in Slovakia.
More than 3.3 million Euro will travel to the centers of integrated health care in the Bratislava region
