In 2023, a number of personal changes were made to the membership of the Accreditation Commission. On 1 February 2023, Prof. MUDr. Juraj Payer, PhD., MPH, FRCP, Chairman of the Accreditation Commission, ceased to be a member of the Commission due to his appointment as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in Bratislava, at the same time he was nominated as chairman of the Accreditation Commission Prof. MUDr. Ján Švihra, PhD., who was appointed as the Minister of Health in accordance with the Statute of the Accreditation Commission of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic for further education of health workers (hereinafter referred to as "the Statute') subsequently appointed by the Minister of Health. During the first half of 2023, two new members of the accreditation committee were appointed in accordance with the statute, Dr. Peter Jackuliak, PhD., MPH, FEFIM, who became Vice President of the Accreditation Commission and Prof. Katarína Gazdíková, PhD., MHA, MPH.

Among the main tasks of the Accreditation Commission, including in 2023, were the assessment of the fulfilment of the conditions of the educational establishment for the implementation of specialization courses, certification courses, continuing training programmes, first aid courses and first aid instructor courses.

In the course of 2023, a total of 76 decisions were issued on the issue of an accreditation certificate, under which the educational establishments are authorised to carry out: specialisation courses, certification courses, continuing training programmes, first-aid courses and first-aid instructor courses.

Of the total 76 decisions have been issued:
