The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic (MZ SR) takes note of the action of the Office for Health Care Supervision (ÚDZS) that, in the interest of the entire health sector, especially patients and health professionals, has been able to move the stabilisation of the adverse economic situation in the VZP. It thus responds to today's decision to impose an obligation on the PES to submit a recovery plan for approval.
The aim is to obtain reserves, in particular on the expenditure side, which are intended to provide the necessary austerity measures. Another key area is the revision of revenue and expenditure, which will provide a better overview of the financial condition of the insurance company and thus of the developments it is taking up at this difficult time.
–The proposed measures are intended in particular to improve the economic balance of the GPP. Some of the measures discussed are already implemented by the Board of Insurance in cooperation with MZ SR. The GMP shall fulfil and continue to discharge its responsibilities towards its policyholders and health care providers. However, in order to protect the interests of insured persons, it is also necessary to take other measures, which may not be popular, but are necessary and necessary, since we care about the financial condition of the insurance undertaking, said Minister of Health Zuzana Dolinková.
The Board of Directors and its Supervisory Board will discuss the implementation of specific measures in the various areas of health care, which will then submit them to the SFO within the prescribed time limit. Once approved by the Authority, the measures may be implemented without delay.
