The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic welcomes this step of the General Health Insurance Company, a.s., which found possibilities to re-introduce dental benefits. In the framework of the Health Wallet, from 1 April 2025, insured persons will be able to apply part of the dental hygiene payment, as well as dental equipment for children under 18 years of age with contracted health care providers.
This is a further pro-patient step which has succeeded in the new management of the state insurance company, despite the austerity measures that it has recently had to implement. I appreciate the fact that the policyholders of the VŠZP will receive a dental hygiene allowance and children's dental equipment allowance, said Minister of Health Kamil Šaško.
