Today, the government of the Slovak Republic approved a draft law on some other measures in the context of the situation in Ukraine called "Lex Ukraine" which also adopted several practical changes from the workshop of the Ministry of Health. We offer you a comprehensive summary of steps in practice.
SIMPLIFICATION OF MEDICAL INSTANCE
A medical professional who has obtained an education outside the European Union and who has only recognised a certificate of education, but who has not successfully passed the necessary examinations and thus has no recognised professional qualifications, can assist in the care of the patient in our territory through a temporary traineeship. The possibility of temporary traineeships is extended to all health professions in hospitals and outpatients. The current arrangements allowed temporary professional internships only in medical professions a doctor, nurse and midwife and only in constitutional health institutions, i.e. hospitals, explained the difference of the Minister of Health Vladimír Lengvarský. Given the recent adverse developments in Ukraine due to the Russian military invasion and the related need to provide health care, access to the exercise of the relevant medical profession is also facilitated. The period in which the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic decides to recognise the evidence of specialisation obtained in a Member State or a third State is within two months of the receipt of the complete application, in addition to the recognition of proof of specialisation of doctors and dentists from Member States under the system of mutual automatic recognition of qualifications, when the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic decides within 30 days.
In case of doubt, the Ministry of Health can verify the facts through the Internal Market Information System (IMI), which is a safe online tool for exchanging information between public administrations involved in the implementation of EU legislation in practice.
FINANCING
HEALTHCARE
VIALS
The possibility of a group of subjects to whom the holder of a large-scale medicinal product authorisation is obliged to supply a medicinal product for human use to international humanitarian humanitarian aid organisations is being extended and the possibility of allowing them to export medicinal products for human use included in the list of categorised medicinal products to the affected areas of Ukraine is an appropriate solution in the current situation.
VESSELS EXPORTS
We propose an extension of the provision on the possibility to issue a decision authorising the export of human plasma to the SR for humanitarian aid purposes in the event of an emergency declared in connection with armed conflict in the territory of Ukraine, provided that such exports appear to be useful and suitable for assistance.
