At today's extraordinary meeting, the government approved tough measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Emergency from tomorrow (16 March) 6:00 p.m. declared in several hospitals. This is a decision that is preventive. We need authority to move medical personnel, material. whether the equipment from the hospital to the hospital with a guarantee of security without rejection. This provides healthcare for citizens of the Slovak Republic and prevents, for example, from refusing to provide medical treatment care," said Peter Pellegrini, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic in charge of management Ministry of Health.

At the same time, in all hospitals not only the state is ordered limit planned interventions by all healthcare providers.

The government of the Slovak Republic also ordered the Public Health Office of the Slovak Republic to accept the following public health measures:
With effect from 16 March from 6.00 h, for the period 14 days bans retail sale and sale of services in establishments, except:
- grocery stores,
- pharmacies and medical device stores,
- drugstores,
- fuel and fuels,
- newsstands,
- feed stores and other animal needs, including veterinary ambulances,
- telecommunications operators,
- public catering and fast food stalls,
- postal, banking and insurance operations,
- internet shops and delivery services.
It shall also be prohibited with effect from 16 March 6:00 p.m. for a period of 14 days. the presence of the public in public catering and fast-track stalls refreshments. This prohibition shall not apply to non-food sales services (e.g. fast food operations with a dispensing window; or the sale of meals with you without entering into service).
At the same time, all persons returning from March 16th from 6:00 in group the affected areas from abroad are ordered isolation in facilities designated Home Office for 14 days.
Current numbers to date regarding coronavirus
Slovakia has together 61 positive samples, 1375 negative results coronavirus.
