At today's meeting, the government of the Slovak Republic recommended new rules for mass events. They propose to divide them into three categories according to riskyness and adjust the entry conditions accordingly and set maximum limits for visitors.

  1. Low risk mass events

- wearing a respirator, without consumption, mandatory sitting, without singing and encouraging etc. (for example theatre, worship services without singing, cinema without consumption).

Maximum capacity of 50% or 100 persons (as decided by the organiser), OP regime.

  1. Medium risk mass events

- wearing a respirator, fixed sitting or standing with the possibility of eating food and drinks (e.g. a cinema with consumption, spectators at sporting events, standing cultural events, congresses, singing services).

Maximum capacity of 25% or 100 persons (as decided by the organiser), OP regime.

  1. High risk mass events

- limited wearing of respirator, consumption and the like (e.g. weddings, wakes, celebrations, parties, balls, discos, mass events in public catering).

Maximum capacity of 20 persons, OP mode and mandatory list of participants.

For low- and medium-risk events, the organizer will be able to choose whether to choose the number of viewers for the event in absolute number (max. 100 viewers) or the ratio of capacity, where the number of viewers can also be more than 100 people (50% and 25% respectively).
The government of the Slovak Republic advised the chief health officer to amend the decrees of the ÚVZ SR, which will regulate the proceedings of mass events.

We take every decision responsibly and on the basis of technical documents. Our primary aim is to protect the lives and health of Slovak citizens and the health system. At the same time, we understand the requirements of the organizers of cultural, sporting and other events, so today we have proposed a regime that will allow, under strict conditions, the organisation of mass events also with the participation of visitors, stated Minister for Health Vladimír Lengvarský.

We found a compromise solution with the Ministry of Health for at least a partial opening of culture in the near future. My efforts, as well as the efforts of the entire ministry, have always been to open up culture so that it is still economically acceptable to the audience and to the organizers. said Minister for Culture Natalia Milan.
