The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic, in connection with the implementation of the national project which committed itself to the establishment of the National Mental Health Support Line, occupies the following position.

The national mental health support line provides anonymous distance advice through combined telephone and online advice on mental health. Its main objective is to contribute to improving the quality of life of individuals in Slovakia by providing psychological advice, crisis intervention, a safe space for talking about uncertainty, concerns or psychological problems, while providing support to health professionals who are experiencing excessive stress and are subject to increased probability of developing stress-related psychological disorders. The activities of the line will also include the implementation of the campaign to raise awareness of the issue with regard to the target group for which the line is intended. This campaign will aim to raise awareness of the availability and importance of psychological support, thus helping to reach out and provide assistance to those most in need.
