Health care for the citizens of Záhorie was communicated with all interested parties, namely the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic, University Hospital in Bratislava, Malacky Hospital, Hospital Bory, Operational Center of the Slovak Health Service and Rescue Health Service in Bratislava. The University Hospital in Bratislava supported the planned phases of start-up of Bory Hospital and will continue to provide care for critically ill people from Záhorie. On the upcoming extended weekend, Malacky Hospital will ensure the operation of the institutional emergency facilities. It is also provided for the inhabitants of Záhorie from 1 September 2023 to the emergency health service station based in Malacky and continues the activities of outpatient health care.
The urgent reception of the hospital Bory will be from 1 September at 7:00 a.m. receive patients who will be brought by emergency medical services from the catchment area Malacky, Záhorská Bystrica, Lamač and Devínska Nová Ves. Since the Bory Hospital emergency will be fully operational gradually, there will be an institutional emergency service at Malacky Hospital for patients by Monday, September 4, 2023.
Work closely with the Hospital Bory will be from September 1, 2023 to September 4, 2023 and the University Hospital Bratislava with its emergency, based on a health analysis with precisely appointed doctors, will receive patients in critical condition from this catchment area.
In particular, during the extended weekend, the emergency medical service of the region will also cover the GLP crew Malacky, Moravský sv. Ján, Stupava, Sološnica, as well as the crews from Dúbravka, Kramárov and Karlovy Ves I and II. will be available in addition to ground crews ZZS as well as air rescuers.
All the elements of the rescue system concerned are coordinated and guarantee maximum preparedness for the current situation after the end of the emergency operation at Malacky Hospital in order to ensure good quality and rapid assistance if necessary to all patients living in the Záhorie region.
The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic expresses its thanks to all players and components, especially UNB and emergency health service, which will be a short but more important time, fully and professionally to provide help in saving the health and lives of citizens of the territory concerned.
