The director of the University Hospital Martin (UNM) MUDr. Peter Durný, PhD. to date asked the Minister of Health of the Slovak Republic Kamila Šaška for release from the position of director. The Minister of Health accepted his request and, from today, appointed the Deputy Medical-Preventional Care for Intrinsic Disciplines and Muscles of MUDr. Ján Mikler, PhD., MPH. until the completion of the regular selection procedure under the law.
Minister of Health Kamil Šaško expressed his thanks to MUDr. Peter Durný, PhD. for his current role as director and wished him every success in his next professional career as a leading neurosurgeon.
The Minister also informed that the construction of a new hospital in Martin is progressing in line with the agreed timetable and that the project team responsible remains the same.
