Upgrading the premises of the ORL and ChHK clinics at the University Hospital Bratislava

University Hospital Bratislava continues to modernize the premises for patients and the purchase of the latest equipment that improves the quality of health care and also contributes to the comfort of patients and staff. Bedroom compartment The clinics otorinolaryngology, head and neck surgery LF UK and UNB have undergone complex reconstruction, when all patient rooms, sanitary facilities, treatment units were renovated and facilities for staff were renovated.
Reconstruction of the bed part was carried out together with the outpatient sector. The Ministry of Health provided EUR 400 000 in capital expenditure for this investment event, University Hospital Bratislava. The Minister of Health, Kamil Šaško, visited the new premises of the Clinic Orl and ChHK, met with the staff and together with the Director of UNB, Alexander Mayer, dean of LF UK, Juraj Payer and head of the Clinic ORL and ChHK, Miroslav Tedlo, opened a new bed department to serve patients.
–I am very pleased that 400 thousand euros have been allocated to the reconstruction of the bed part of the clinic as well as the outpatient part, thanks to which the premises could undergo complex reconstruction. Both patients and health professionals will have modern facilities and facilities where they receive high-quality healthcare at the highest level. It is just further proof that the modernisation of our medical facilities is a priority for this government. The latest technologies will allow for more effective diagnosis and treatment of patients. At the same time it will bring better comfort for the patient and staff, said Minister of Health Kamil Šaško.

The ORL and ChHK clinic provides comprehensive care for patients with head and neck diseases in continuous operation in outpatient healthcare, in the form of one-day surgery as well as hospitalization. Officials of the Clinics ORL and ChHK perform diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose and sinus diseases, larynx, pharynx, neck and adjacent areas. Part of the clinic is the Center of Cochleary implantation with nationwide scope. The clinic provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of tumours on the head and neck, surgery of the thyroid, salivary glands and other tumours on the side and front base of the skull. Endoscopic surgery of the sinuses is performed and functionally aesthetic nose surgery is performed. ekári Clinic ORL and ChHK provide consulting advice to all otolaryngologists and patients with ORL problems in Slovakia.
–The ORL and ChHK clinic is one of our unique workplaces with a highly specialised focus, where patients from all over Slovakia are treated. There is also a surgical simulation centre at the ORL and ChHK, which serves to strengthen the operational experience of young doctors. As an educational and scientific - research workplace he is devoted to pre-graduate and postgraduate teaching (doctoral students, doctors in specialist training). It is one of the four accredited training centres in Slovakia, enabling them to undergo a mandatory two-year pre-test stay of residents and to carry out a specialist examination in the field of otorinolaryngology. It also provides education and testing in the post-secondary specialization of Foniatri. It regularly organises educational events and courses.
