The update of the strategy of long-term social-health care in the Slovak Republic was established in cooperation with experts of the Association for the Protection of Patients' Rights of the Slovak Republic, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic, which was covered by the Office of the Government Representative for the Development of Civil Society in the National Project Support of Partnership and Dialogue in the field of participatory public policy making and financed by the Operational Programme Effective Public Administration. The update process was implemented under the pilot scheme for participatory public policy making. The material follows the strategy of November 2015 prepared by the Institute of Health Policy of the Slovak Republic. The ambition of the DSZS Strategy is to initiate a public debate to reach a broad consensus on the setting and implementation of measures that will be the backbone of the system's provision of long-term social and health care for all citizens.
