In Slovakia, 11 462 people were added to the past day with a positive PCR test. As for antigen testing, 1,784 positive. 20,128 RT-PCR tests and 17,297 antigen tests were completed yesterday. Of the sequenced samples in the past week, 97,9 percent of the micron variant is represented. The most tested positive RT-PCR tests were in the Bratislava region (1 677), followed by Prešovský (1 526), Banskobystrický (1 515), Košický (1 458), Nitriansky (1 417), Trenčiansky (1 345), Trnavský (1 330) and Žilinský (1 194). There are 5,145 men and 6,317 women with an average age of 37-38 years. The total number of positive males tested is 703 173 and 779 181 respectively.
In hospitals, 2,554 patients are hospitalized and confirmed COVID-19 disease. Of those hospitalized, 71.14 percent are not vaccinated at all or only partially vaccinated. There are 227 patients in the ICU and OAIM departments, 92 people in need of artificial lung ventilation support. The number of confirmed victims for the lung form COVID-19 increased by 44 subjects. The total number of deaths per Covid is 18,611 and the total number of deaths with Covid is 3,467.
A third dose of vaccine was given yesterday to 878 subjects (1,482,354), while a second dose of vaccine was vaccinated to 1,395 people (2,749,034), with a first dose of vaccine to 134 subjects yesterday (2,817,538).
