The Ministry of Health is finalising the preparation of a programme decree on the plan for the reallocation of health funds for this year. It shall submit it to the inter-ministerial commentary procedure as soon as possible.
The Ministry of Health assures both the professional public and patients that due to the delay in the approval of that document, the provision of health care in healthcare facilities will not be limited or threatened. Insurance companies received advance funds from MZ SR and we expect to inform healthcare providers in the near future if they have not yet done so.
The budget for 2024 was adopted on a non-standard basis only at the end of 2023. This has also led to a fundamental shift in the development of implementing rules. It was not possible to prepare this document without the final figures and approval of the steps.
This implementing act has already been discussed in the framework of the internal comment procedure. Representatives of the Ministry of Health discussed its wording with health insurance companies as well as health care providers and their representatives.
