The Ministry of Health has enforced a comprehensive increase in the salaries of all health professions in institutional health care and emergency medical services. This has historically been achieved by healthcare professionals for the first time in a uniform system of evaluation based on experience, expertise, difficulty and responsibility of their permits.
We have not worked out the proposal behind closed doors and not merely represent the opinion of the Ministry. Hundreds of hours of negotiations with all health professionals concerned, their trade unions, chambers, associations, professional organisations and others are behind the proposal. We have managed to reconcile their positions and present a fair pay system on which to build and further increase the salaries of health professionals in the future, said Vladimir Lengvarsky, Minister of Health.
