At the site of the construction, the Minister of Health of the Slovak Republic Kamil Šaško and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for the Recovery Plan and the Knowledge Economy Peter Kmec personally proved the progress of the construction of the new University Hospital of St. Martin in Martin. The Recovery and Resilience Plan gives rise to the highest standards of health care, which will not only provide modern healthcare to patients, but also excellent conditions for the training of future generations of healthcare professionals.
A series of control days on hospital construction projects from the resources of the Recovery and Resilience Plan continued today in Martin. The Minister of Health of the Slovak Republic Kamil Šaško reminded us that we remember the times when no one believed that the hospital in Martin would start building, as the start of the project was not exactly the most successful in previous governments. No one applied to the first tender and had to be repeated. Therefore, I am all the more proud to be here in front of you, and I can say with responsibility that the Ministry of Health's leadership has achieved, despite all the obstacles that were numerous, that the construction of St. Martin's University Hospital in Martin is progressing in line with the milestone of the Recovery Plan, the Minister of Health has pointed out. As he added, the construction itself is one part of the project, even more intensive work was done and happens on the boards of architects. The situation on the project is now in line with the timetable. It has a valid building permit for the garage house and the lower part of the building under the main building of the hospital,The Minister brought the details closer. He recalled that all the works are closely monitored on a daily basis by a team of Martin University Hospital under the supervision of the Medical Implementation Agency.
Deputy Prime Minister for the Recovery Plan and the Knowledge Economy Peter Kmec realizes how demanding and important this project is for Slovakia. The new University Hospital in Martin is of nationwide importance and we approach it with the highest priority at my office. I am pleased that our efforts have real results and we are continuing to meet important deadlines so that the new hospital will serve citizens on the planned date.

From the Recovery and Resilience Plan, 256 748 815 € (excluding VAT) is allocated to the hospital project. Other resources for the completion of the project will be financed from other sources under the Government's resolution. The hospital will have 660 newly built beds and will contain state-of-the-art medical achievements that will improve the treatment of patients throughout Slovakia and allow our future doctors and health professionals to learn in the most modern facilities.Minister zdravotníctva K.
