The National Council of the Slovak Republic has today approved a comprehensive and vigorous increase in the assessment of health professionals in institutional health care and ambulances of emergency health services. This is the highest salary increase for the last decade. At the same time, for the first time, all health professionals have achieved systematised pay settings that take into account the experience, expertise, difficulty and responsibility of the individual professions.
–With changes in health, we see doctors, nurses, paramedics and all healthcare professionals as the closest partners. We discussed all stakeholders when setting up the evaluation system. With trade unions, professional organisations, chambers, associations and other relevant organisations. Their positions have been harmonised into a comprehensive proposal"Vladimír Lengvarsky, Minister for Health, said.
From next year, without extras, the starting doctor will automatically raise the salary by 279 euros, starting with 202 euros. A doctor with specialization and 20 years of experience will have a salary higher by 421 euros, sister by 444 euros. However, the increase in evaluation also concerns paramedics, pharmacists, labs, ambulances and other health professions.
According to the Minister, the increase in salaries will eliminate injustice to health professionals, but health is facing other challenges that need to be addressed. Therefore, the resort has also started to make changes in the use of health contributions, has introduced a transparent system of financing operations and has launched an incentive financial scheme for the creation of new clinics of general medicine.
Today we have to deal intensively with the situation in which two thousand doctors have given statements. Their departure from the system would for a long time complicate the provision of healthcare in several regions. However, together with the Medical Trade Union, we feel, above all, the responsibility for our colleagues, the doctors in the notice period. Therefore, we must find realistic and constructive solutions with trade unionists so that we do not get out of the system. Nobody really wants that. Vladimir Lengvarsky continues. According to the department, the requirements of trade unionists largely overlap with those already in place. The Ministry will continue to work on their implementation under any circumstances.
These are health solutions. It is now about constructiveness, sober expectations and the desire to agree on real steps for each other, Closed by the minister.
