From Tuesday 5 March 2024, it will be possible to register persons over 12 years of age for vaccination against COVID-19 disease with Nuvaxoid XBB.1.5. Candidates will be informed about the allocated date of vaccination after registration, and the vaccination will take place in Bratislava, Banská Bystrica and Košice. Vaccination against COVID-19 is as voluntary as in other age groups.
Candidates for vaccination with this vaccine will be able to register from 5 March 2024 via the website of the National Health Portal - NCZ (in the section of COVID vaccination testing). Nuvaxoid XBB.1.5 can be administered intramuscularly to individuals 12 years of age and older as a single 0.5 ml dose at least 3 months after the last administered COVID-19 disease vaccine, regardless of previous vaccination (order of the given dose/type of vaccine) against COVID-19 disease.
Vaccination with Nuvaxoid XBB.1.5 will take place in the following hospitals: * University Hospital Bratislava (Kramáre), * Faculty Hospital with Polyclinic F. D. Roosevelt Banská Bystrica, * University Hospital L. Pasteur Košice.
In case of increased interest in vaccination with this vaccine, the Ministry of Health will consider extending the vaccination network to other vaccination centres. Vaccination against COVID-19 is optional in all age groups.
