The amount of compensation for pain and compensation for making social application more difficult, according to the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, for the period from 1 August 2004 to 31 December 2004 for one point is EUR 287.30, rounded up to the resulting amount multiplied by the number of points listed in the Annex to the Act.
Under Law No 437/2004 Z. z. on compensation for pain and compensation for making social application difficult and amending Act No. 273/1994 Coll. on health insurance ... the Ministry of Health is empowered to issue a measure which determines the amount of compensation for pain and the amount of compensation for making social application more difficult for one point each year on 31 March of the current year. Since the Act entered into force on 1 August 2004, it was not possible to comply with the deadline for granting the measure and to determine the amount of the point following the decision of the Permanent Working Commission of the Legislative Council of the Government of the Slovak Republic on the impossibility to issue a generally binding legislation on the amount of compensation for pain and on the amount of compensation for making social application more difficult for the period from 1 August 2004 to 31 December 2004.
