Administer Nuvaxoid from the company Novavax is also possible for those interested who have received two doses of AstraZeneca or Sputnik V in the past. The World Health Organization has agreed to this combination and MZ SR has since today issued a methodical guide to allow Nuvaxoid as a booster to be administered to all interested parties who have completed vaccination with any vaccine in Slovakia. The Nuvaxoid booster dose can be given to a fully vaccinated person from the age of 18 years:
- at least 3 months under the last dose of the primary double vaccination scheme
- at least 8 weeks after the last single dose schedule
- after 3 months of previous Covid-19 disease or administration of monoclonal antibodies. In Slovakia, vaccination with vaccines from several manufacturers is possible against COVID-19 disease. In children up to 17 years old (inclusive), it is Comirnate (Pfizer/Biontech). Persons over the age of 18 years are vaccinated with Spikevax (Moderna), Comirnate (Pfizer/BioNTech), Nuvaxoid (Novavax), and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson). Registration through the portal korona.gov.sk, vaccination without registration (https://www.health.gov.sk/?) or vaccination in medical clinics if they offer this possibility.
