National Institute of Heart and Vascular Diseases, a.s. (NÚSCH, a.s.), expands its activities in the framework of diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Part of the complex NÚSCH, a.s., is a newly built building with a heliport. Six-storey extension with a total area of 5 940 m2 is connected by a covered aboveground bridge with the building complex.

Following the separation of heart failure and transplantation, the Department of arrhythmias and cardio-stimulation under the direction of the head of Prof. Dr. Robert Hatala, CSc, moved to new modern premises. The 19-bedded bed part of the workplace will provide patients with a higher standard and comfort while using modern cardiac monitoring options.

The new areas for the treatment of arrhythmias are ranked among the largest of their kind in Central Europe. I wish all doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals a pleasant working environment and the most successfully treated and satisfied patients. Part of the complex of the National Institute is the new Bē building with a heliport, where after separation of heart failure and transplantation, the department of arrhythmias and cardiostimulation under the direction of Professor Robert Hatala moved. I am very pleased that the 19-bedded bed part of the workplace will provide patients with a higher and well-deserved standard and health care professionals well-deserved and adequate conditions for their work," said Minister of Health Vladimír Lengvarský.

The operating part consists of 3 generously conceived intervention halls for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. The halls are equipped not only with state-of-the-art X-ray technique, but also with new technologies for localization and subsequent removal of pathological deposits in the heart muscle, which are caused by arrhythmias. The combination of these technologies will allow the doses of the necessary X-ray to be minimized and thus protect patients and medical personnel. The operating halls are designed to be ready to use new robotic technologies.

By putting these new areas into service, we will be able to reduce waiting times for these performances. Our efforts are always satisfied patient. Thanks to our highly erudite staff, said the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of NÚSCH, a.s., Mongi Msolly.

The incidence of cardiac arrhythmias is constantly increasing and these are currently among the most common diagnoses of cardiac patients. New NÚSCH premises, a.s., rank the arrhythmia treatment centre among the largest of its kind in Central Europe and allow for increased capacity for the necessary surgical and intervention treatment of patients with heart rhythm disorders that untreated can result in a threat to the patient by sudden death or heart failure.
