The Minister of Health of the Slovak Republic Kamil Šaško and appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for the Recovery Plan and the Knowledge Economy Tomáš Drucker attended a check-in day on two strategic hospital projects funded by the Slovak Republic Recovery and Resilience Plan
These two hospitals are the flagship projects of Slovak health, and today I can say responsibly that we are pursuing all the milestones and deadlines. The project of the new University Hospital in Martin, by the way, the first one after 60 years, was discussed as impossible two years ago. Today, we see the opposite of the constructions growing literally as from the water, and compared with similar projects in the surrounding countries, which last eight to ten years, we are going more than twice as fast. At the same time, it is essential for us that the absolute highest standards of safety and quality are observed on the buildings,"said Minister of Health Kamil Šaško.
The control day confirmed the readiness of both the state and the contractors to meet the crucial milestones of the projects and to continue modernising Slovak health without delay and without compromising funding from European sources. Investment from the EU Recovery Plan thus brings concrete results for regions and patients across Slovakia.
Our priority is not only to meet deadlines, but above all to ensure that new hospitals meet the highest standards of quality, safety and technological equipment. The inspection day confirmed that the construction takes place professionally, responsibly and with an emphasis on every detail. These projects change the quality of healthcare for people in regions and across Slovakia."said Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for the Recovery Plan and the Knowledge Economy Tomáš Drucker.
