A positive AG test is sufficient to obtain confirmation of Covid-19. The National Health Information Centre (NCZI) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic (MZ SR) has taken this step in order to facilitate the expected autumn wave of the pandemic to patients and doctors.
While the general physician was sufficient to diagnose the patient and prescribe the treatment as well as a positive AG test, a PCR test has been needed to obtain a certificate of survival up to now. In order to avoid unnecessary duplication of tests, the NCZI approaches the issuance of European Digital Certificates of Covid-19 disease after a positive antigen test. However, this does not apply to all AG tests.
The list of accepted tests is determined by the European Commission and is available on the https://health.ec.europa.eu/system/files/2022-07/coid-19 eu-common-list-antigen-tests en.pdf. In any case, self-choice home tests cannot be used to obtain proof of completion. NCZI issues overcoming certificates only on the basis of positive AG tests from mobile sampling points (MOM) carried out from 5 September 2022, the first certificates being generated on 16 September. After a positive AG test, domestic isolation is necessary 5 days after the positive test. If, within five days of isolation, a person has no symptoms of Covid-19 disease for the last 24 hours, isolation will end. However, the next five days are required to wear a respirator FFP2. Only then can you obtain confirmation of Covid-19. It is generated on the 11th day of confirmation of positivity, in this case from the AG test. Override confirmation is generated automatically, NCZI recommends to set up automatic certificate sending so that this certificate is also delivered to the mailbox. The certificate can be requested at any time via the self-service portal of the registered applicant -https://cikidforms.nzisk/patient portal/coid-19-validate-patient IDEN.php, with only a COVID pass, a year of birth and a registered telephone number in the system.
The EU COVID card for COVID-19 can also be downloaded to children and is valid for a maximum period of 180 days from taking a positive sample of biological material.
