The Minister of Health of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Dolinková withdrew today the current management of the General Health Insurance Company, a.s. headed by the Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors Ľubica Hlinková. She appointed Michal Ďuriš from 11 January 2024 as Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of VšZP.
In order to preserve the smooth functioning of the VšZP, a.s., the statutes of the insurance company have been amended by law, making it possible for the Board of Insurance to be temporarily one member.
I thank Mrs Hlinka and outgoing members of the board for their constructive cooperation and wish them every success in their further personal and professional life. I believe that the new VZP management will effectively continue to improve the management of the largest health insurance company in Slovakia, stated at the premises of VšZP, a.s. in personal thanks to the current management of insurance Minister of Health Zuzana Dolinková.
Doc. PhDr. JUDr. Michal Ďuriš, PhD. worked in General Health Insurance Company, a.s. from May 2016 until May 2020 in several positions. He was a member of the board of directors of insurance companies, head of the secretariat of the general manager, director of the strategy and management section, or director of the legal services and services section of clients.
