The Ministry of Health announced today two new challenges from the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic. The aim is to increase and improve the capacity of home nursing care in Slovakia. In total, applicants may apply for almost 4.6 million euros.

Our home nursing capacity is about 30 percent less used by the population than in the Czech Republic. This is due to the weaker availability and representation of this healthcare in Slovakia. The health department will therefore support, through the recovery plan, the expansion of the home nursing network, the improvement of technical equipment and the increased availability of home nursing agency services.

From today until 31 October 2022, a call for: Expand the home nursing network. Non-refundable financial contribution may be applied to home nursing agencies established after 1 February 2020. The maximum amount of support per application shall be EUR 127 400 for eligible expenditure/material equipment. Total allocated EUR 1 401 557 excluding VAT.

Until 31 October 2022, a non-refundable financial contribution may also be applied for by longer-acting home nursing agencies. Under the call for: Restoration of home nursing network The Ministry of Health plans to support existing facilities. The maximum amount of support per application shall be EUR 40 400. Total allocated EUR 3 237 912 excluding VAT.

For both calls, eligible applicants are contributory and budgetary organisations established by the Ministry of Health or municipalities, non-profit organisations, civic associations or entrepreneurs acting as home nursing agencies.

The eligible activities are investments in improving material and technical equipment, improving the quality of healthcare provided and increasing the availability of home care in Slovakia.
