Minister of Health of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Dolinková has appointed Mr Juraj Kacian, MPH, director of Faculty Hospital with Polyclinic Žilina MUDr. It is appointed for a fixed period, until the post has been filled by a successful tenderer in accordance with the provisions of § 5 (9) of Act No. 552/2003 Coll. on the performance of public service tasks, as amended.
At the same time, on 21 December 2023, the head of the health department withdrew from the post of director of the FNsP Žilina Mgr. Eduard Dorčík. MUDr. Juraj Kacian, MPH is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice. She specialises in surgery, accident surgery and public health. He has been working in the Faculty Hospital with Polyclinic Žilina since 1997. Until 2006, he was a secondary physician, from 2006 to 2017 he was the head doctor of the Department of Accident Surgery. He served as the medical director of FNsP Žilina in 2017 and 2018. Since 2018, he has been the chief of the Department of Accident Surgery and since 2020 head of the Emergency Intake Doctor " in charge.
