The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic welcomes the conclusions of the discussion between VZP and Medirex, whose contractual relationship was also presented mediaally as a significant advantage over other providers of common medical and investigational components. With intensive communication, the current VSE management has managed to negotiate a contract modification which, by the end of 2024, represents a saving of around EUR 1.5 million compared to the original contract text.
This saving is also an important step to ensure more efficient use of financial resources and to make the conditions of healthcare provision transparent for all Slovak citizens. Negotiations between PES, all providers and interest groups will continue. Every amount saved in the health sector means better and more accessible care for patients.
