The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic stresses that the current publication of the standard procedure for diagnostics and complex management of healthcare for adult person with transsexualism (F64.0) is an initiative by the Slovak Psychiatric Society of Slovak Medical Society, which takes place independently of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic.
Publications were published by the Slovak Psychiatric Society (SLS), which decided to publish this standardized procedure.
On 3 April 2024 the Ministry abolished this standard procedure due to the application and procedural issues raised in practice. Discussions across the resorts are currently ongoing on the health sector.
