The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic, in cooperation with the Rescue Health Service Bratislava and the Spiš Catholic Charity, sends 16 vehicles of emergency medical services to Ukraine to help Ukrainians provide humanitarian care.
These vehicles were surplus property of the Rescue Health Service Bratislava. They are fully equipped and ready to provide humanitarian care. So far, they have been fully serviced and adapted to operate under the most difficult combat conditions. They will be transported to Ukraine thanks to cooperation with Spišská Catholic Charity.
The war has been raging just a few meters beyond our borders for almost two years, and the Government of the Slovak Republic wants to help in this situation. In particular, I would like to thank the Rescue Health Service Bratislava, which provided these vehicles and the Spiš Catholic Charity, which will deliver the ambulances to Ukraine for the fact that Slovakia, as part of the free world, will also contribute a bit to helping as many people as possible. said Minister for Health Zuzana Dolinková.
"Those ambulances were still providing services to Slovak patients. Thanks to the purchase of new vehicles we could declare 16 ambulances as excess property of ZZS Bratislava and in cooperation with the Ministry we found a way to use them for the needs of our war-tested neighbor after the service in Slovakia. On my way to the new mission, I wish they could save as many lives as possible in a new mission," added Director of Rescue Health Service Bratislava Robert Nádaský.
