The Ministry of Health considers the medicated arguments of the Medical Trade Union Association as evidence that there is no relevant reason for the doctor's testimony today.
Minister of Health Kamil Šaško has identified maintaining the peace in the health sector as his fundamental priority. Therefore, not only did he negotiate dozens of hours with LOP representatives, but he also delivered concrete results in the form of measures taken by the government or parliament. To date, 90 percent of the trade union requirements of the memorandum between the LOD and the government of Eduard Heger are either fulfilled or fulfilled.
In its opinion on Ministers , the deduction of the tasks performed by the LPOs made time-technical reservations about joint negotiations and a number of specific comments on specialisation training .
- The interpretation of the Medical Trade Union Association is misleading because it is taken out of context.
- To clarify, we state that the minimum standards for specialist medical studies are composed of authorities and experts in the relevant specialization fields, who take into account international guidelines and recommendations on the subject and propose optimal study length based on the conditions of the Slovak Republic.
- It is not true that the content and length of the specialisation study are proposed by ministerial officials.
- It is incorrect when the Medical Trade Union, by its statements about the incorrectly set length of the specialization study, challenges professionals who have long been active in individual specializations.
- All European Union countries, as well as the Slovak Republic, are obliged to comply with European regulations and regulations in the field of medical education.
- The EU directive only sets a minimum length of specialisation study, but these are characterised by a Union of European medical specialists in terms of content, scope and optimal length.
- The Ministry of Health stresses that his top priority was, is and will be to set up specialist medical studies to guarantee professionalism, quality and safety in the provision of health care for Slovak patients.
- The Ministry of Health calls on the Medical Trade Union Association not to disseminate disinformation about complicated specialist study of doctors in the Slovak Republic, including the wrong length of specialization study.
This opinion once again shows that there is no relevant reason for continuing with statements today. The only outstanding issue remains the pace of wage growth, where medical trade unionists refuse to raise salaries by 6.4 percent, even for a short transitional period, as insufficient. However, as long as there is a constant repeated statement by the representatives of the LOZ that they do not care about salaries, all the reasons are met for continuing to improve Slovak health with doctors who stay with their patients.
