Minister of Health Zuzana Dolinková will submit to the next meeting of the Government of the Slovak Republic a proposal to grant the government consent to change the purpose of using unused capital expenditure from 2021 chapter of MZ SR to the total amount of € 604 000.
Originally, the money was intended for the purchase of CT machine in NÚDCH, but the institute managed to compete with the machine also with construction modifications at a lower price than originally calculated. The saved funds will be used to eliminate the emergency state of the air-conditioning equipment (134 200 Euro), modernization of the building and removal of the emergency state of the infrastructure of the building (184 218 Euro), as well as to provide medical equipment and other equipment (186 582 Euro) in the Children's Faculty Hospital with the poliklinika Banská Bystrica.
Minister of Health Zuzana Dolinková, during yesterday's personal visit to the Faculty Hospital with Polyclinic F.D.Roosvelt and Children's Faculty Hospital with Polyclinic in Banská Bystrica, said: I am delighted that today I have brought to the head of the DFN BB information about the planned transfer of EUR 604 thousand. Although, in a few weeks' time, patients will be able to use its newly renovated part, for which funds have still been provided by the government under Peter Pellegrini's leadership, it is already clear that further expansion of its capacity will be necessary. That is why I am ready to find resources to finance this project. I am pleased that the management of both hospitals in Banská Bystrica is actively and promptly progressing towards continuous improvement in healthcare provision for patients in its region.
Management of Faculty Hospital F.D. Roosevelt assured the Minister of Health that the project to build a new hospital from the Recovery Plan continued on the agreed dates.
