Presentation of recommendations for Slovakia will be the key message of today's event.
Experts will make recommendations to strengthen cancer control in the areas of cancer registration, strengthening cancer screening and communication to raise awareness of the importance of cancer screening. – The recommendations are a valuable resource for stakeholders involved in cancer care and offer strategic knowledge to promote a more effective and coordinated systemic approach to cancer prevention and treatment, - reports André Carvalho, an IARC scientist and the main project investigator. The ICCCS project was a unique partnership between the International Agency for Cancer Research, the Directorate-General for Supporting Structural Reforms of the European Commission and the Ministries of Health of Latvia and Slovakia. The project, financed by the European Union through the Technical Support Facility, is in line with the European Cancer Plan.https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/ip 21 342
