Faculty Hospital Trnava reconstructed the premises of the vaccination centre and the Department of Cardiology. Opening of these premises took place with the participation of the Minister of Health of the Slovak Republic Vladimir Lengvarský. New vaccination centre
Faculty Hospital Trnava opened a new vaccination centre. For more than a year, we have been vaccinated in outpatient areas of the FN Trnava Psychiatric Department, where we have vaccinated over 102 000 doses of COVID-19 disease vaccines. Today we are opening new areas of the vaccination centre, which are adapted to the vaccination process, and said the director of FN Trnava Vladislav Šrojta.
The vaccination centre premises are adapted to the vaccination process, consisting of a waiting room, a registration room, an vaccination clinic and an observation room. FN Trnava is currently vaccinated with vaccines from Pfizer/BioNTEch and Novavax. The vaccination is the most effective preventive protection against serious COVID-19 disease. At Trnava University Hospital, she was actively vaccinated all the time. I am glad that the hospital has created special areas for vaccination, which I believe are also actively used by those who have been reluctant to vaccination so far. said Minister of Health Vladimír Lengvarský. New ICU have been added to the cardiological department
The Trnava Faculty Hospital has also reconstructed the cardiology department. The aim of the reconstruction was to increase the comfort of patients and concentrate the whole department in one building and one floor, said FN Director Trnava Vladislav Šrojta. The department is concentrated within the Pavilion building of surgical disciplines, where there are also CT, MR or operating halls. By reconstructing and concentrating the department in one place, patients have been unable to move between buildings, increasing their comfort in their treatment. I appreciate this step in favour of the patient, said Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarsky.
The department of cardiology has 18 standard beds. Each room has a TV set, a new storage space for the patient or a refrigerator. There is also one above standard room in the department, which is a single room. The department has expanded by 5 new intensive care units, of which one is above standard. Overall, the department has 16 monitored heart rhythm beds.

The Department of Cardiology FN Trnava is the only cardiology department in the Trnava region. The most common causes of hospitalisation are coronary syndromes, cardiac rhythm disorders and heart function disorders such as pumps, valve diseases or pulmonary embolism. The department provides supra-regional healthcare, said Mayor of the Department of Cardiology FN Trnava Daniel Čambál. Reconstruction brings several benefits for patients, but also for staff. Thanks to this reconstruction we can save time in connection with patient management. The average hospitalization on the usual bed is 5 to 6 days.
