Vladimír Lengvarský, the Minister of Health, attended today the ceremony to open a new emergency income at Košice-Šaca Hospital. More than 150 patients per day in 7 clinics can be treated in a new workplace since April. There will be 5 doctors, 14 nurses, 6 paramedics and 13 other staff working in continuous operation.
The project was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund IROP of € 6 889 000 and the hospital invested € 1 834 000 from its own resources.
–I am happy to see the working environment and conditions for doctors, nurses and other health professionals gradually improving. The new modern environment also has a positive effect on the psyche of patients. It is important to apply for money from European funds and, combined with the co-financing of the hospital, we now see a positive result for both the health care sector and the patients arriving at it, said Minister of Health Vladimír Lengvarský.
New urgent income means increasing the complexity, productivity and quality of healthcare provided, improving medical indicators - such as hospitalization time and the loading of acute beds, also improving medical processes from admission to patient sorting to emergency procedures and hospitalisation.
