On Thursday, April 23, 2026, the Incheba EXPO Exhibition Centre in Bratislava will host another year of the unique event -MediFutura - Your future is in Slovakia - We are one team-- MediFutura is a nationwide event organised by the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic, which follows on from the successful event last year for medical professions and extends its focus to health professions, educational institutions and the entire health support ecosystem.
I am delighted that MediFutura will also be a place for these students to learn new things, to interview experienced experts and to meet future colleagues. Students are interested in their educational opportunities and what awaits them if they decide to stay in Slovakia, said Minister of Health Kamil Šaško.
The aim of the event is to make the health professions more attractive, to restore their social status, seriousness and prospects for a long-term career in Slovakia. Health cannot work without health professionals. Health is one team. MediFutura creates a space where all health professions are visible, respected and supported.
Visitors will receive expert lectures and discussions on two main stages on the present and future of Slovak health and interactive lectures and discussions on 4 small stages. With those who stand in the front line of health care provision and are in daily contact with the patient - nurses, midwives, practical nurses - assistants, ambulances, medical paramedics, and nutritional therapists, they will approach their work without embellishing the way it really is.
The event will also present the professions that stand in the background, but have a fundamental impact on diagnosis, treatment and prevention, such as public health professionals, pharmacists, pharmaceuticals and medical labs, laboratory diagnostics, physicists, dental technicians, dental assistants, dental hygiene. Their practice and the importance of their work in the day-to-day care of patients will approach physiotherapists, masseurs, orthopaedic technicians, medical device technicians, opticians and optometrists.
