Liptov Hospital with Polyclinic MUDr. Ivana Stodola has now become part of the second level within the optimisation of the hospital network. The Minister of Health of the Slovak Republic Kamil Šaško signed a decision on its transfer to a higher degree, which represents an important step for health throughout the region.
Replacing the hospital into a higher category opens up new opportunities for both patients and healthcare professionals - more specialised performances, more modern equipment and better access to healthcare. This is the result of long-term efforts by hospital, self-administration and the Ministry of Health, which have worked together to improve conditions for the inhabitants of Liptov and tourists.
–I am extremely glad that after a few days I am again among you in Liptovský Mikuláš and I am fulfilling what I promised last time. We have carefully reviewed all the relevant facts, also taking into account the strategic importance and taking into account the real range times. Based on a comprehensive assessment, we transferred the Liptov Hospital with the Polyclinic MUDr. Ivan Stodola within the classification of the hospital network from the first to the second. This will enable the provision of healthcare to the extent that such a strategically important medical facility is needed. said Minister of Health Kamil Šaško. Minister for the Interior Matthew Shutai It emphasised that this was a key step for the whole region. –Today we can inform the people of Liptovský Mikuláš that after years of their misery we delivered exactly what they expected of us. Our Minister Kamil Šaškov managed to push the transfer of the hospital in Liptovský Mikuláš back to a higher degree and thereby correct one of the many mistakes that we have left here after the previous government, picked up the Home Secretary.

Mayor of Liptovský Mikuláš Ján Blcháč described the decision as a great contribution to the local population. I have been fighting for the integration of our 166-year-old hospital into the second regional level for four years. I have been knocking on many doors, meeting ministers, members of the government, Members, staff of the authorities and institutions until the present Minister of Health Kamil Šaško, who found the desire and strength to correct bad decisions of the last government and also the situation caused by officials from the table in Bratislava without any knowledge of real local circumstances. On behalf of all the inhabitants and visitors to our tourist-seeked region, I thank the Minister and his colleagues for saving the lives that have been really at risk to date. The mayor of J. Blchác closed.
Liptovský Mikuláš is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Slovakia. Tens of thousands of visitors come to the region each year, who also use the health services of the local hospital. Hospitals are classified at different levels according to the healthcare they provide. For example, first-level hospitals provide basic health care while higher-level hospitals provide more specialised care. By transferring the hospital to the second category, patients will receive an extended healthcare coverage.Foto MZ LM
