COVID-19: There are 835 positive people in Slovakia

In Slovakia, there were 66 new cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) on Monday, including 43 clients and five employees of DSS Pezinok. Overall, there are 835 people positive for COVID-19 in Slovakia. Laboratories examined 1302 samples, 1236 of which were negative. The number of tests with negative results reached 29 217 in Slovakia. 121 patients are currently hospitalized according to NCZI statistics, of which 46 have been confirmed with coronavirus, 75 are pending test results. In Slovak hospitals, there are four people with COVID-19 in intensive care, four patients need artificial lung ventilation. According to statistics of regional public health authorities, COVID-19 has managed to cure 113 people in Slovakia in total. Of these, 33 were hospitalized and 80 were treated in domestic isolation. So far, two people have succumbed to the disease. In total, 101 people in Slovakia are over 65 years of age. The most of them are in the Pezinok district – 29 women and 10 men, followed by the district Bratislava 13 women and 9 men. Out of the total number of yesterday's 1302 tests, state laboratories ran 1059 tests, picked up 65 positive people, private laboratories did 243 tests, one was positive.

The most cases of COVID-19 are in the Bratislava region – 264, followed by the Košice region – 106, Prešov region – 101, Žilina region – 95,Trenčiansky region – 92, Trnavský kraj – 66, Banskobystrický kraj - 61 and Nitriansky region with 50 positive cases. Of the total number of positive cases there are 425 men and 410 women. The most positive people are between 30 and 44 years of age, with a total of 221 people between 15 and 29 years of age, with a total of 171 people in the age group of 45 and over 60 years of age. There are at least 42 children under the age of 14.

For positive patients the previous day we provide additional information, 4 patients are in the quarantine station/centre. There are a total of 48 patients in the DDS facility, i.e. about 1 over yesterday's reported status of DSS patients.
