COVID-19 (coronavirus) has not yet been confirmed in Slovakia. All 306 samples tested so far were negative. The Slovak Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the Office of Public Health of the Slovak Republic, monitors the situation and operationally approaches the necessary solutions. Hospitals were informed through guidance from the main sanitary department of the Slovak Republic, as well as the doctors in the clinics were informed through guidelines of the main hygiene. The Public Health Office also distributed leaflets with specific information for healthcare professionals. We are actively addressing the situation and, in case of demand for protective equipment, we are also immediately taking action in cooperation with other institutions. Similarly, the administration of state reserves is actively addressing this issue and, consequently, the resources distributed to the necessary places will be needed. The current situation in Slovakia does not require a flat ban on the main hygiene for organizing mass events. If the situation changes, we are ready to react operationally. However, we recommend that people do not actively search for mass events.
